Your PPC Website Doesn’t Need Links, Right?

Just because you’re focussing on PPC advertising rather getting organic traffic via SEO techniques, doesn’t mean you can totally ignore building inbound links to your websites. Sure you don’t need as many but you do need some.

And, of course, not all links are created equal. Inbound links that are one way, ie that don’t involve you having to link back to the other site, are the ideal. Inbound links from thematically related sites are superior. For example, if you have a gardening site then an inbound link from a site about internet marketing is not as valued as a link from a site that supplies gardening products.

PPC Site: How Much Content Is Enough?

Posted on timeApril 18th, 2008 by userEditor in catPay Per Click Help    flag(24) Comments

If you were doing a site for SEO a general rule of thumb is to have at least 50 pages of one-of-a-kind (or semi unique) content, have deep inbound links (links to pages other than just the index page), have a silo based internal linking structure and to be regularly adding new content and links.

One of the main attractions of PPC over SEO is that there the returns are faster and there’s less promotional activity needed to get traffic.  SEO is about site structure and its about building links, sometimes a laborious process.  With PPC you put up your campaign and the traffic flows in.  Right?
